Stephen Bardo, a former University of Illinois basketball star, serves as sports reporter for CBS. An analyst and contributing reporter for the NCAA Tournamen.

College basketball fans remember Bardo from his days with the Fighting Illini when he led his team to the Final Four. He served as a sportscaster for several broadcast outlets, including the Illini Sports Network, Westwood One National Radio Network, ESPN and Fox Sports. (Bardo holds a B.S. in Speech Communications)

Before he covered the game, Bardo played for several professional leagues, including the Detroit Pistons (1995), the Dallas Mavericks (1992), and the San Antonio Spurs (1991), as well as leagues in Europe, Japan and Venezuela.

He won a local Emmy Award for his work on CBS 2’s 2004 broadcast of the Marathon.
