Emotional Intelligence
Capturing the Art of Self-Motivation & Strengthening Emotional Intelligence
How do we keep the feelings of urgency from swamping our ability to think, our ability to cope or our ability to respond effectively? In these challenging times, it is critical to have enhanced skills to self-motivate and persist toward a goal in the face of frustration and unforeseen obstacles. This training module focuses on strengthening one’s ability to “step out of the box” of convention and overcome the emotional and social challenges in one’s life. With greater resilience and creative coping skills, we are more apt to exhibit superior decision making skills and problem-solving abilities that influence positive outcomes.
Diversity
Critical Elements to the Engaged & Inclusive Workplace
There are many ways to characterize an engaged, inclusive workplace. However, in an ever-changing, socially and culturally diverse world, it is essential to identify those elements that promote satisfaction, appreciation and recognition within the organization’s community of workers and consumers. This training module includes discussions on organization’s culture versus consumers’ culture, recognition of talents across the diverse community and inclusion of talents within the organization’s assets. With increased attunement to the growth and diversity within the organization’s community, an organization presents with greater clarity about their community, its growth areas, and strengths and assets within the community and across emerging groups.
Women’s Issues
When the Personal is Universal
As women continue to progress within executive climates, there is increased need to clarify the needs of women within today’s workplace. Too many women continue to experience an exclusive society where career paths are obstructed, pay scales are imbalanced and social opportunities are discontinued. This learning module discusses the social constructions of gender differences and how these constructions impact the role of women within today’s workplace. Through examples of inclusion that promote the well-being of women within the workplace, we are able to comprehend and best utilize assets from women within the workplace, and the shared experiences that enhance organizations.
Stress Management
Resolving, Restoring & Reclaiming the Self
Each day, we face obstacles, experience pain and grief, and confront stressors that inhibit us from aptly functioning in the roles we love and others depend upon. This learning Module helps individuals engage in a personalized plan to 1) improve emotional health and well-being; 2) increase self-determination and self-reliance through extensive self-exploration and discovery; and, 3) improve personal and work relationships through intensive goal-setting skills and strategies.
