Nick is a medically retired Gunnery Sergeant from the United States Marine Corps who was wounded in action during a firefight with enemy insurgents and was struck in the head by an enemy rocket-propelled grenade (RPG). Numerous shrapnel wounds to the head and neck left him legally blind and partially deaf in his right ear.
