Anita Nicole Brown was faced with many dilemmas …
Anita was diagnosed a Type One Diabetic and shortly after that she lost the ability to walk due to Diabetic nerve damage!
Her doctors said she may or may not ever walk again. So imagine the surprise when she not only walked again; but enrolled and graduated with her B.A. (concentration in fashion design).
However, her love for film began to grow. She made the decision to research what it would take in order to make it in the world of entertainment (acting).
She made the choice to pursue acting.
Anita Nicole Brown has been going full force since she began acting.
She was excited to land her first BG role in Happily After and after that, things continued to move forward!
She landed BG roles on The Chicago Code and Boss. And has also been landing lead and supporting roles for indie features as well.
Not only did she fall in love with acting full force; but she branched off into modeling and ballroom dancing as well!
Her desire for modeling sent her to Hollywood severial times.
Although moving at this pace was not easy and when she lost her mother January 9th, 2011, Anita felt like throwing in the towel and quitting. But before her mother passed, her mother did tell her that no matter what happened to her, she wanted Anita to continue to go for her dream. She told Anita to never give up and it’s those words today that allows Anita to continue pushing and moving forward.
Anita has found her place. She has found somewhere she belongs and where she is whole. It is because of this feeling that she has continued and refuses to stop pursuing her dream!
Brown was diagnosed with type one diabetes (aka juvenile diabetes). Shortly after being diagnosed she was also diagnosed with diabetic nerve damage in her legs and feet and lost the ability to walk for over a year because of the nerve damage! “But I fought through it all and here I stand now!”
Yes, it has been a difficult road. One in which doctors were not sure if Anita could and would recover! But here she stands, dances, models, acts!
Despite diabetes and all of its complications she stands here today as an example to and for others!
Through determination she has come thus far with many more doors yet to be opened!
She believes that she is full of so much energy and spirit!!
Her drive and determination is strong and she does not give in to defeat!
Through pure perseverance and determination, she has come as far as she has!
