Arlene Taylor is pledged to promoting brain-function research, and to providing related educational resources. When asked what she does in life that absolutely energizes her, Arlene typically replies, “I’m a brain-function specialist and I help people thrive!”
Her first conscious experience with mental rehearsal came early in life when her father challenged her to “Learn to practice the vibraharp in your mind, and then you can rehearse anytime, anywhere.” She continues to play piano, organ, and vibes whenever her schedule permits. Emerging knowledge about music and the brain led her to create the program entitled Music and the Brain.
Her interest in the brain, especially in relation to male-female differences and individual uniqueness. Her fascination with the human brain and its functions continues unabated.
An internationally known writer and speaker, Dr. Taylor incorporates brain-function research into her empowering presentations. The information she shares, when practically applied, can help people to be more successful—by design. Using metaphor and practical-application examples, she makes brain-function research come alive. Audiences around the world have found her to be an engaging and imaginative speaker.
She is Risk Manager and Director of Infection Control for a Hospital and the SHH Center for Behavioral Health.
