Bill Morris, M.B.A., a former wall street executive, on wellness begins with individual wellness. Individual Wellness is being at peace with yourself and those around you. It would be having it “together” mentally, physically and spiritually.
If corporations were made up of these types of individuals, they would then have the ability to maximize profits and reduce costs.
For example, a healthy employee exhibits more confidence, creativity and are at the office being productive, as opposed to being sick, missing work, not being productive and escalating health costs.
Morris was an international controller of one of the top tier investment banks on Wall Street, Kidder Peabody, responsible for all financial and operational activity in London, Paris, Geneva, Zurich, Tokyo and Hong Kong. Additionally, was the Chief Financial Officer of this NYSE Company
Exxon Corporation, Wall Street Investment Bank Ð Kidder Peabody, MOF (Ministry of Finance-Tokyo) and SEAQ (Stock Exchange Automated Quote-London).

(He raised funds by setting a world record for consecutive sit-up (20,100, in 11 hours and 23 minutes.)
He believes corporate wellness begins with individual wellness.
Individual wellness is being at peace with yourself and those around you. It is what I call the “road to happy”. For him, it would be having it “together” mentally, physically and spiritually, similar to a “three-legged stool”.
If corporations were made up of these types of individuals, they would then have the ability to maximize profits and reduce costs.
For example, a healthy employee exhibits more confidence, creativity and are at the office being productive, as opposed to being sick, missing work, not being productive and escalating health costs.
“How many of you have a tendency to fall asleep during your afternoon classes?”
He was shocked to see 80% of the hands go up.
Then he asked, “How many of you have soda for lunch?”
Again, 80% of the same hands went up.
He explained the negative nutritional effects of sugar and how you get a “jolt” but then you crash. Although, this might be a small example, within the context of the “physical” side of our “three legged stool”, it is one of hundreds of tips he shares during his “Formula for Success” program.
His motto in life is “learn, earn and return”…
