It often feels like a crusade that takes all we’ve got, so I offer my clients the discovery of why the battle can be so tough. It is because most people, fueled by a belief that they have been fighting for themselves, are almost always fighting against. People tend to champion solutions for their self-identified and self-diagnosed problems; and, their solutions usually involve labeling the problems and doing everything possible to avoid them in the future.
What gets identified is rarely the problem and, besides, how much do any of us learn by running in the other direction?
What we are likely to discover, through honest and diligent exploration, is that what we had feared as being our greatest weakness is in fact our paramount strength.
