Chief Dan Daly is a veteran of the NY City Fire Department. On Sept. 11, 2001, he responded to Ground Zero, worked extensively at the scene, and became one of the 100 individuals awarded the NYS Senate Liberty Medal.

Dan has shared his message of peace, hope, and tolerance throughout the United States and the world including speaking on Capitol Hill, at the request of the United States Department of State, and other organizations, Dan has presented his message in over 100 cities across the globe, from Canada to Chile and from Nicaragua to Nepal, most recently taken him to Guatemala, Hungary, Berlin, Poland, and Russia.
 
Dan spends time working with the wounded veterans back from Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as teaching public speaking in prisons.  
Through his motivational speaking tours, presentations and programs, he shares the true legacy of 9/11; a legacy of courage, compassion, and the power of the indomitable human spirit. There were thousands of individual acts of leadership, commitment, and selflessness. Dan shares his life experiences and the lessons he has learned from them.
It is his hope that we can all continue to be inspired to perform these selfless acts, and to make the changes necessary in ourselves and our communities to bring about true world peace. 

As a retired NYC Firefighter who served at Ground Zero, he feels compelled to keep the memory of September 11th alive in a positive way. Chief Daly’s speaking engagements are dedicated to the memory of all those who lost their lives on  9/11
