Christopher Springmann, began his career as a highly successful commercial photographer subsequently expanding his creative focus to the world of print journalism.
Christopher added radio broadcasting to his creative toolkit with the launch of Life, Love & Health and Body Language.
An innovative leader in the world of health radio broadcast journalism, Christopher Springmann has pioneered a unique on air approach combining personal storytelling with breakthrough “news” about new clinical and pharmacologic successes.
Christopher graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography, and started his work-life as a news photographer for the Chronicle, then spent a formative year in Vietnam for TIME Magazine.
A highly successful commercial photographer, Christopher’s work appeared in Time, Fortune, Business Week, National Geographic and Smithsonian. From news photos to portraits of influential icons such as artist Georgia O’Keeffe and polio vaccine legend Dr. Jonas Salk, Christopher has always exhibited a unique ability to capture his subjects’ humanity – in the perfect light.
Christopher’s desire to blend his intuitive insights with his fascination about strategic business leadership and decision-making led him to move into the world of radio and print journalism.
After becoming a print journalist for publications including Chief Executive and California CEO, Christopher produced an award-winning series on healthcare, business and economics.
Christopher launched Life, Love & Health exploring “Health Disparities Among Women Of Color.”
Recognizing that America’s health story wasn’t being told effectively in the media, Christopher began weaving the real voices of culture, ethnicity, age and gender into that larger story.
Christopher matched this unmet need with opportunity, determining that radio and television, not print or still imagery, were the most effective ways to reach the greatest number of people where they lived, worked and played.
Christopher’s personal creative journey. It’s one grounded in empathy and compassion for the human condition, driven by a desire to ultimately make a difference in people’s lives by influencing their choices and decisions, and using broadcast media and his own distinctive voice as a vehicle for expression.
