Deborah has known (and loved) Competition her entire life. She was born to a military family who believed in keeping their children physically active year-round in various sports.
In addition to the usual competitive sibling rivalry, the family’s frequent moves (her dad was a Major in the Marine Corps) meant that she and her siblings often joined new cities, new schools, new friends, and new sports and social activities.
She says that your biggest competitor is YOU, and there IS an “I” in the team.
She says that the all-out competitive approach rarely, if ever, works.
After receiving her degree in Communications, Deborah, the lifelong athlete, began her speaking career with WHO Radio and CBS Sports as one of the first female sports commentators.
