Denise Schafer: A sultry singer trained in opera, has a repertoire that ranges from classics to contemporary.
As an Entertainer / Singer of contemporary pop, jazz, country, rock, musical comedy and opera, Denise’s three octave range, incredible breath control, versatility of song and her outstanding stage presence has captured the hearts of all ages throughout the world.
Having spent an extensive amount of time in Asia Ms. Schafer sings and speaks not only in Japanese but also in nine other languages.
From Dangerfield’s in New York City, the number one comedy club in America, to the New York state Catskill Mountains, to Atlantic City, Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami, Montreal, St. Maarten, Tokyo……
Denise has been the opening act for such renown comedians as Jackie Mason, Robert Klein, Tom Dreesen, Norm Crosby, Redd Foxx, Pat Paulson and George Kirby to name a few.
Her legitimate theatre credits include the Eartha Kitt role in the Off Broadway revival of “New Faces of 1952,” Sally Boles in “Cabaret,” Maria in “West Side Story,” Marian in “Music Man” and Chava in “Fiddler on the Roof” among others.
Ms. Schafer achieved extremely memorable engagements at the Stardust and Flamingo Hilton Hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada and the Showboat Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Denise graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Opera Performance.
Spanning the globe with this highly acclaimed education plus her magnificent music/show business expertise it was a natural progression for her to conduct music clinics and share her multifaceted knowledge with eager to learn choral and color guard students worldwide.
