Chiropractic:
Chiropractic treatment restores proper physiology. Chiropractic care re-establishes proper skeletal motion and optimizes nerve flow. The primary objective of chiropractic care is to remove skeletal fixations and place the body in a position that maximizes function and healing. Chiropractic treatment addresses the source of a health issue rather than the symptoms by the detection, reduction and correction of skeletal misalignments and nervous system dysfunction.
Chiropractic Adjustment: The chiropractic adjustment is the primary technique used by the Doctor of Chiropractic. It is a powerful health procedure performed by hand or with a small hand held instrument. The chiropractic adjustment restores proper motion and function to
the skeletal system, thus re-establishing proper nerve flow and placing the body in the optimal position to heal itself.
Subluxation: A skeletal misalignment (a joint which is lacking its proper motion) which can be causing nervous system dysfunction.
Treatment Plan: The main objective of Dr. Ozello’s treatment plan is to increase health, fitness and functionality while removing pain and symptoms through the use of chiropractic adjustments, muscle stretching and muscle work. After a thorough consultation and examination are performed, chiropractic adjustments are utilized to restore proper skeletal motion and muscle stretching and muscle work are employed to treat the surrounding structures.
Knowledge about health, exercise, fitness, stretching, flexibility, strengthening, nutrition, posture, ergonomics and preventive measures are taught to the patient.
Treatment is more frequent in the initial phase of care then is reduced as the patient returns to optimal health and function.
Health: Optimum mental, physical and social function and well being and not merely the absence of disease, pain and symptoms.
Ergonomics: The study of body positioning that maximizes efficiency and minimizes the potential for injury.
Posture: The carriage of the body as a whole.
Fitness: The state or condition of being physically and mentally healthy as the result of exercise and proper nutrition.
Exercise: Activity that requires physical or mental exertion when performed to develop or maintain health and fitness.
