Ed Hearn played 13 years of professional baseball including a World Series Championship. Loses career, loses health and now impacts lives. “A Hall of Famer in the game of Life!” Ed Hearn joined an elite few who have fulfilled the dream of playing in the Major Leagues and winning a World Series (1986 World Champion New York Mets – you’ll love the RING!) Later, with the Kansas City Royals, a serious shoulder injury brought a premature end to a very promising and brilliant career. Less than six months after his baseball career ended, Ed was diagnosed with three potentially life threatening health conditions. Today, after three life-saving kidney transplants, years of dialysis, a successful recovery from cancer, the aid of a breathing machine each night, a costly IV treatment once a month, and up to 50 pills per day, he has come back to live a life that is truly an inspiration. As an author and speaker, he uses his courage, faith, and perseverance combined with a humorous, open-hearted outlook on life, to captivate, entertain, encourage and a provide strategies that can immediately be applied to improve personal and professional performance. Certainly his celebrity status of being a former Major League ballplayer initially attracts many to ask him to speak, but be it young or old, executive or blue-collar worker, his audiences walk away remembering him not so much as an athlete, but more as a man who has had a dramatic impact on the way they view their own lives and challenges they face. They speak of being uplifted and inspired with a renewed spirit of hope and motivation to pursue victory in all areas of life, no matter what the challenge or adversity.
