Eddie’s educational background evolved from a degree in behavioral psychology to graduating from L’Institut d’oenologie at Université de Bordeaux with the D.U.A.D. degree (diplôme d’aptitude a la deégustation des vins).
Eddie Osterland, MS is the first American to pass the grueling Master Sommelier Diploma.
Eddie worked as Director of Trade Education at the International Wine Center and was the wine editor for Restaurant Business magazine.

•Flip chart with black, blue and red markers (not a white board!)
•3 X 6 skirted table in front of room
•Sound mixer on same table patched to house system
•Liter of water (no ice)
•1 lemon (on butter plate)
•1 bottle of any red wine to be used as a prop
•Room set up classroom style (no round tables), spaced so that waiters can get through to pour the wines
•Room must be very cool!
