The Voice of a Generation along with his high energy world class band: One-of-a-kind voice
Program Titles
- An ardent supporter of education focused on the arts
- He describes his own definition of the moment which all Rock front men must attain either vocally or by augmenting the vocal with an instrument
Fran Cosmo – stepped up to the plate, or the mic in this case, and started his musical and touring journey with BOSTON.
” FRAN sang most of the vocals on the “Walk On” album, and toured with BOSTON, trading off vocals when Brad would join certain tours.
This alone underscores FRAN’s mega talent. For Tom Scholz to pay such a high compliment and for Brad Delp to share lead vocals with FRAN and point out in interviews that “FRAN can easily and strongly perform the really high parts” it is clear to see why four world tours fronting BOSTON have made FRAN COSMO an icon to Rock music fans around the world.
FRAN also sang co-lead vocals with Brad on “Higher Power,” off of 1997’s “BOSTON: Greatest Hits”, and many of the songs on “Corporate America.” BOSTON mastermind Tom Scholz recalls “During all our touring and recording, FRAN was fun to play with on stage and in the studio. When we released “Walk On”, FRAN was that ‘special voice’ that could sing complex harmony with Brad and he was and is a terrific guitar player.”
JEFF NEAL says, “As if one phenomenal vocalist in BOSTON wasn’t enough, FRAN is an amazing talent in his own right… and a seasoned pro, and I really enjoy performing with him on stage.”
GARY PIHL describes FRAN this way, “FRAN’s an easy going guy with a big heart. Nothing seems more important to him than family and friends. He’s a great guy to have on your side, or in your band!
He was born with such musical instinct. You can’t learn it. You can’t teach it, he’s just GOT it.”
Many of the most experienced producers and other recording industry professionals reconfirm that “FRAN’s got super hearing” and he surely does.
It’s considered a great honor in all levels of entertainment when you have “your own joke” and FRAN’s amazing talents spawned the following endearing and light hearted comedic quip:
“When one Dog was standing outside of New York’s Carnegie Hall on 57th Street and Seventh Avenue another Dog that walked up to him asked “Did you hear something?”
The first Dog replied “Yeah, that’s FRAN COSMO on stage at Madison Square Garden.” That little joke says it all as did the New York Times which once wrote…
“FRAN COSMO IS ONE OF THE STRONGEST AND MOST EXCITING VOCAL TALENTS IN THE HISTORY OF ROCK MUSIC.”
You’ll be pleasantly surprised when you work with an Artist who adopts the simple policy of “helping our promoter to stay in profits.” FRAN’s concern will be sure to show buyers around the world that a new beginning in the commercial aspects of promoting entertainment is a must in order for our industry to grow back into a healthy, financially sound profession.
Loyalty and cooperation with promoters and talent buyers has always been practiced by dedicated Artists such as Eric Clapton, Chicago, the Grateful Dead and others and FRAN COSMO is setting a course for the next generation of music professionals to do the same.
