Gregg M. Fraley, diverse background includes everything from founding and managing high-flying technology companies to working as a television producer. He’s faced a variety of creative challenges in his life with too many jobs and roles to mention here. Primarily he’s been an entrepreneur, and now an in-demand consultant, ideation facilitator, and speaker. Gregg knows how to speak directly to the heart of a group and he inspires the teams he works with to come up with innovative ideas. Those who hire Gregg continually comment on his expertise, energy, humor, and charm – his “excellent balance of wit and knowledge.” His ideation sessions have produced market leading products. Gregg’s approach focuses on results. He is one of the best ideation / brainstorming facilitators available — his sessions achieve client business results. He has developed unique “Innovisation” tools and techniques for getting teams to think up breakthrough ideas. These tools are adapted from the world of improvisational comedy to apply directly to thorny business challenges. These tools fit within a structured problem solving model and the tools work, even with inexperienced ideators. Many ideation facilitators can take a group through a structured session. Gregg is one of the few that can introduce spontaneity into the structure and have people truly thinking differently. A pioneer in the development of interactive television, Gregg worked with Warner Cable’s QUBE project, where he won an Emmy award and a cable ACE award for Innovation. He moved into technology and has been involved with computer software non-stop since then. He helped develop the first wireless prescription writing system for doctors (a patented product), as well as numerous computer applications in healthcare, manufacturing, finance, and field service. Gregg is the founder of three software firms, including two “dot.com” start-ups.
Gregg has been quoted as an expert in the following publications: Successful Meetings, Skyline News, Redbook, Crain’s Chicago Business, The Chicago Tribune, and Chicago’s Daily Herald. Gregg has extensive experience in marketing, sales, and qualitative research.
Keeping ahead of the curve in today’s marketplace requires the ability — and the discipline — to create the next big product or service quickly. The pace of innovation has never been faster. Many organizations struggle to out-innovate their competition. They have the desire, but not the skills. A continuous innovation culture coupled with on-going and rigorous idea management is the answer.
As a creativity consultant, author, and professional speaker, Gregg Fraley helps organizations innovate. First by assessing innovation needs, then facilitating dynamic ideation sessions that result in great product and service ideas. Next, by helping to develop corporate cultures that foster, nurture, and sustain the innovative output of their people over time. In speaking programs and workshops that balance humor with a rare insight into the way people think and communicate in the workplace, Gregg helps executives, managers, and teams overcome the negativity and self-restraint restricting their brains from exploring new avenues of action and thought. His background as an entrepreneur and as an improvisational actor give him insights, tools, and capabilities. His Innovisation™ tools are the best of both world’s — a flexible structure for problem solving combined with ideal conditions for spontaneous thought.
Simply put, Gregg brings out the best ideas people have.
