Ian G. Cook works primarily with managers, mid-level to executive. His presentations and highly interactive training workshops have been introducing “cutting edge” concepts and skills that help managers apply modern leadership approaches to get more from their employees and their teams. His extensive client list includes major corporations, medium and small businesses, government, trade and professional associations, and not-for-profit organizations. Along with seventeen years of corporate experience, Ian holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University and a Masters in Human Resources Management from Cornell.
His presentations are thought provoking. His advice to managers is practical. He speaks with passion. And his message is clear:
“Organizational success begins with individuals who accept personal accountability for the daily choices they make around their goals, priorities, performance standards, attitudes and style of dealing with others.
And, while employees bear the bulk of the responsibility for finding job satisfaction and contributing to results, managers can adopt proven leadership approaches to create an environment where their people will choose to excel.”
Here are the three most common issues Ian’s clients ask him to address:
“How can I motivate my people to achieve greater results?”
“How do I focus my unit to do more with less?”
“How will I get this bunch to start operating like a team?”
