Chosnek covers process safety, which differs from occupational safety. The gamut of the industries is chemicals, oil and gas, offshore, LNG, waste management, food production, mining, transportation, and many more.
Not to be confused with occupational safety, sometimes called hard-hat safety, protects the individual worker by providing him/her with clothing and other protective equipment and making sure the work environment is safe for the person, that is, there’s fall protection (e.g., rails, barriers), confined spaces rules, hot work rules, etc.
