She wants to be your helpful friend. Her approach is kind of a bridge approach between the 2 more standard approaches to weight control.
The first is the idiotically obvious and simple “just eat less and exercise more” camp. The books, clubs, business, etc. built on this philosophy feed you bizillions of hints, tips, and secrets and SHORT TERM solutions that are nothing more than tiny “portions” of help to the chronic gainer/loser.
On the other side of the bridge are the gurus who will help you dig into your every bad experience, relationship and hair day to help you discover the sources for your issues with food.
Her in the middle of the road help for you is sort of a hybrid. We are not idiots, we know our problem is eating less and exercising more, but we seem to get in our own way for reasons we haven’t figured out yet.
She wants to let you know here that does not know all the sources of the food issues but she has figured out enough about her self to:
1. live joyfully with food and
2. keep my head, heart, and hectic life organized so I (almost) always keep food and weight in a happy perspective and devote my energy to more important goals than just worrying about the size of my rear end.
