Inspire leadership & advocacy in the younger generations
Program Titles
Karen J. Roberts, BA degree in English and has been an avid animal lover and pet owner her whole life.
Her true passion is animal advocacy.
As a writer, humane educator, animal-rescue volunteer, activist and vegan, Karen feels a deep connection to a cruelty-free lifestyle and believes that each of us can make choices that contribute to a more compassionate world for all living creatures.
Her goal is to inspire leadership and advocacy in the younger generations through her award-winning books for kids and through her classroom visits.
Karen has enjoyed writing stories from a very young age. Her first real inspiration came when she adopted her little dog Louie from the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem, Massachusetts. Louie’s adoption story and his instant connection with Karen’s heart inspired her first book The Little Blue Dog.
She has written more than 10 published children’s books now, for a variety of age groups, with many more on the way.
Karen shares her peaceful life with her six dogs and one cat. Her love of nature and animals and her passion for conservation and positive environmental change provide her with endless inspiration for stories and poems.
Karen is the winner of the Indie Excellence Award, a two-time winner of The Feathered Quill Book Award, a Finalist in the International Book Awards, and winner of the eBooks2go children’s book contest for digital publishing.
A portion of all proceeds from the sale of Karen’s books and her classroom visits are donated to a multitude of animal rescue organizations both locally and nationwide.
