Karen Pittman is an accomplished actress in television, film, and theater.
- She is Emmy, SAG, and Critics’ Choice Award-nominated, portraying influential roles in mega hit marquee TV series across a myriad of major networks.
- She is currently starring as the Executive Producer ‘Mia Jordan’ on Apple TV+’s Emmy-winning, Golden Globe and SAG-nominated THE MORNING SHOW with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon (s4 premieres September 17th).
- Pittman received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2024 and a Critics’ Choice nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role. She stars as ‘Dawn” in the new Netflix drama series FOREVER, a reimagining of Judy Blume’s beloved novel, written by Mara Brock Akil and directed and EP’d by Regina King. It has been in Netflix’s Global Top 10 Shows since its debut, and was already renewed for season 2
- She recently starred in HBO’s pop culture phenomenon “AND JUST LIKE THAT”… as fan favorite ‘Dr. Nya Wallace, one of the four new leads, for the first 2 seasons.
- She had a recurring role in season 3 of Paramount+ hit series and one of TV’s most-watched shows YELLOWSTONE as venture capitalist ‘Willa Hayes’, starred as ‘Lisa’ on FX’s award-winning series THE AMERICANS, and played the role of ‘Priscilla Ridley’ on Marvel’s LUKE CAGE on Netflix.
- She has originated many iconic American theater roles, including her award-winning portrayal of ‘Jory’ in Ayad Akhtar’s Pulitzer Prize-winning, Tony-nominated Broadway play DISGRACED, ‘Nya Joseph’ in the award-winning PIPELINE written by Dominique Morrisseau, and ‘Charlotte’ in Claudia Rankine’s THE WHITE CARD.
- She recently starred in a critically acclaimed role in Stephen Belber’s political drama WHAT WE DO NEXT alongside Corey Stoll. In 2022, she launched Hallmark’s Mahogany programming with the film UNTHINKABLY GOOD THINGS. Other feature film credits include CUSTODY, THE REWRITE, and BEGIN AGAIN.
- A singer, songwriter, and musician, Karen graduated from Northwestern University Bienen School of Music with an Undergraduate Degree in Voice and Opera, and from NYU Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Acting Program with a Master’s Degree in Acting.
