Laura Clark Hansen: Laughing and living through Ovarian Cancer is a humorous and heartwarming live one woman show that tells Laura Clark Hansen’s moving and often hilarious story of cancer survival.
While Laura’s story springs from the ovarian cancer experience, the key moments of her journey are something all cancer patients share in common, experiences such as; hair loss, changing friendships, developing coping skills, intimacy issues, cultivating hope, and living in limbo.
Depending on a group’s needs; themes, Laura will adapt the presentation to incorporate specific information and available time.
Laura provides hope and inspiration for survivors, their loved ones, and professional caregivers as it follows Laura’s journey to rebuild and reclaim a life altered by illness.
Laura also offers writing programs that explore the “Power of Personal Narrative & the Healing Process”.
These experiential programs provide a safe healing space where the novice writer as well as the seasoned professional can explore the cancer experience through the written word.
Laura Clark-Hansen is an actress, playwright and theater producer.
She holds a Masters Degree in Human Development and is the
co-founder of a theater company dedicated to helping groups and organizations.
She brings many years of writing and performing experience to the most important role she’s ever had to play; a supportive survivor and passionate advocate in the fight against Ovarian Cancer.
