He made his writing debut with the critically acclaimed legal thriller, Justice Deferred. Inspired to write the novel by events following the disappearance of his 16-year-old son in 1980, Williams humanized the nation’s ‘three-strikes’ law through the medium of the novel, reversing the roles of the prosecutor and the prosecuted.
Publishers Weekly called the book, “…downright addictive.” Justice Deferred was optioned by Warner Brothers for Tobey Maguire’s Maguire Entertainment, and is currently in development. He is presently at work on several novels including The Good Sisters, a thriller set in Rome and New York City.
