“When husband Hank got home from Europe, I could hardly restrain myself from starting an argument on purpose. Finally, nature took its course and the two of us were in a “knock down drag out.”
I had a red nose in my pocket. At the peak of the argument I put on the red nose, looked Hank right in the eye and blurted out the Dutch phrase. “WHAT did you say?” I said the Dutch words again, even better and louder than the first time.
Hank burst out laughing…and then he pulled me lovingly into his arms.
Here are three hot tips for handling an argument with your spouse:
1. Learn how to fly.
2. Wear a red nose.
3. Speak Dutch.
Always love and forever laughter, Lola
