Margaret R. Kimura, is a veteran Image-Maker, Author, and Entrepreneur, who has worked as a Professional Make-up artist in the Entertainment industry for many years.
Her unequaled skills and calm, spiritual nature made her a top request by Arnold Schwartzenegger, Tom Hanks, Andie MacDowell and many others.
Margaret’s psychological approach to dealing with her clients has had the effect of enhancing their lives on and off camera.
Her amazing workmanship and individual style evolved into what is now known as the “Shadows & Light™” technique.
With extensive knowledge in the areas of Cosmetics and Image, Margaret became a Creative Consultant for Estee Lauder, assisting in the development of new cosmetic lines.
She helped develop a new line of called i nuovi Cosmetics.
Margaret was also Creative Director, responsible for Marketing and Public Relations.
Margaret is currently creating her own line of cosmetics called “MARGARET KIMURA COSMETICS”.
This new line will be based on Margaret’s philosophy “Outer Beauty through Inner Beauty.”
As an Image-Maker and Marketing Consultant, Margaret has worked for various Fortune 500 companies including Bristol Myers, Squibb, Clairol and Glade and marketing groups like the “ThinkShop” in New York, on product developments projects and innovative marketing & promotional concepts.
“As an Asian American Woman, Consumer and Professional, I know first hand how difficult it is to find the right cosmetics for our unique canvas and how confusing it is for Asian women due to the lack of education and very few roll models.”
Margaret has spoken at tradeshows and schools and on Television, on a variety of subjects that include beauty, entertainment, motivation and marketing.
Margaret is dedicated to broadening her influence by way of providing the world inner and outer makeovers. Through her experiences and talents, Margaret motivates her listeners to acquire new tools and bring out their hidden talents and skills.
Margaret has worked in Milan, Paris, Tokyo & New York in the fashion industry for the first decade of her career, and then she went back to her original roots (Hollywood) and started to work in the entertainment industry.
Having such a diverse background in her skills and talent, Margaret feels the new challenge she has now is to help others outside of the entertainment industry.
Her motto is “looking beautiful is knowing your beautiful”.
She admits that make up should not be used to cover up who you are, but use it as an accessory to bring out what you already have, and sometimes be daring with it.
” I have done years a marketing research, and even Men who won’t admit it publicly, has discretely said they want to learn how to better their grooming skills.
Margaret’s resume is filled with many impressive experiences, also having a strong business background working in marketing for many various fortune 1000 companies (Bristol Myers, Squibb, Clairol, Glade, etc.) as a Image expert. Margaret also was contracted with Estee Lauder as a Creative Consultant to help develop new lines. Recently Margaret was the Creative Director, Head of Marketing & PR and Partner of i nuovi cosmetics.
The most important thing in Margaret’s life is to make a mark in the beauty world knowing she didn’t waste her life obtaining all of this knowledge and throwing it all away. “Success is not all about dollars and cents; it’s about great health and ultimate happiness within.”
