Melinda Kay Polk, LPN, RN, had no idea years ago that I would become a nurse. It was literally never a thought as I was a student in a physical therapy assistant program. Physical therapy did not work out for me and later I figured out the reason why. I tried nursing on the whim not knowing I would find my love for this profession.
Getting thru LPN and RN school was one of the hardest challenges of my life and it did not come easy. I have always had many responsibilities like a majority of people while trying to better myself. The tears and struggles have all proven worth it to this day as I love being a nurse. I am doing what I was called to do. I love making a difference in people’s lives. I am thankful for all my experiences that have lead me to where I am today. I am looking forward to my experiences to help me further grow my critical nursing skills in Critical Care.
