Milt Shumsky, Ph.D., as a clinical psychologist, sports psychologist, management consultant and educator and brings an enthusiastic, unique, and creative approach to his audiences.
He has developed stress management programs for the U.S. Federal Job Corps, has taught graduate courses at Rutgers University and Kean College (NJ), and headed a national task force on stress management programs for the Organization for a Healthy America. Dr. Shumsky has worked with corporate executives and professional partnerships in team building. His work in the areas of Peak Performance and Stress management has been featured in Cosmopolitan, Self and New Body magazines, and other national media.
In addition to stress management, Dr. Shumsky also offers workshops in assertiveness training for professionals, communication skills (establishing rapport with customers, staff and family), and how to speak your way to success by giving confident and fear free presentations.
Dr. Shumsky is currently Chief of Psychological Services for the Sports Psychology who is affiliated with the NY Football GIANTS organization.
He has been recognized nationally for excellence and was designated for the treatment of Olympic athletes by the U.S. Olympic Committee.
Dr. Shumsky has offered “sports clinics” for coaches, individual athletes of all ages and in such diverse sports as tennis, baseball, bowling, football, golf as well as winter sports with both amateur and professional athletes. He has demonstrated his approach on national network programs which featured his work as a sports psychologist and has been credited by a college football coach for turning his team around, from a losing into a winning season.
