On June 17, 2023, tragedy struck again, when Gigi received another call, that her granddaughter, Phoenix Cerenil, had been murdered! In assessing her grief, Gigi realized the sad cycle of DV in her family and in many families and vowed to break the silence by speaking publicly and created: “Mothers and others Against Domestic Violence (MADV).” Under MADV, Gigi speaks on steps to take if a loved one goes missing, no matter their age.
She addresses the signs of Domestic Violence before it becomes physical.
She gives advice on how to prevent, prepare and become a Survivor not a Victim of DV.
