Ricardo R. Fernandez specializes in the advancement of organizational performance. He is an expert in the use of Organizational Performance Management methodologies and enabling technologies. He has over 20 years of business experience in health care, government, banking, manufacturing, utility, and publishing industries, where he has held various management, staff, and line positions.
Mr. Fernandez received his Masters in Business with a concentration in Statistics and Operations Research, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. Productivity and Competitive Position. He is a registered Professional Engineer and a Certified Purchasing Manager. He was recognized as the Outstanding Industrial Engineer by the Institute of Industrial Engineers. Mr. Fernandez served three consecutive terms as an Examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the national quality award of the United States of America. He previously served as Senior Examiner for Quality Award called the Governor’s Sterling Award, as an Examiner for the original Regional Quality Award originally called the Sterling Prize, and as an Advisor (between Examiner and Judge) for the inaugural year of the “The 100 Day Challenge”, the Bahamas Quality Award. He also served as Secretary of The Productivity Center, a non-profit organization whose mission was to increase awareness of Quality and Productivity methods throughout, especially within Government agencies.
He has published various articles on quality, statistics, materials management, electronic data interchange, production planning, productivity, operations research, and forecasting. He has taught various quality, process improvement, statistics, operations research, management science, computer simulation, computer programming, maintenance management, and other management-related courses.
