Ron Glidden, spent 10 years in the U.S. Coast Guard and many years in municipal law enforcement, Ron has become a leading authority on the prevention of and response to all forms of violence in our society.
Ron served as a police chief many years, holds a master’s degree in criminal justice, and has received on-going training throughout his career on violence issues.
As a police firearms trainer and a recognized expert in firearms law, Ron served for over a decade in leadership positions on state and national committees dealing with the issue of gun violence in our society—especially gun violence in our schools and our workplaces.
Ron teaches Essential Leadership Communication Skills to new police chiefs. Dealing with difficult people is an important element of that training—a skill needed frequently in law enforcement.
Ron teaches many of those same skills in his other presentations as an overall strategy to enhance leadership while reducing the potential for violence in the workplace.
Ron has spent years researching domestic violence, stalking, threats, and all forms of school and workplace violence. He has developed effective violence prevention and response strategies, and now dedicates his life to providing others with the skills they need to stay alert and stay safe.
Ron works with educators, business leaders, managers and law enforcement officers to help them create a safer workforce in schools, municipalities and businesses or all sizes.
