Dr. Sal Severe is a school psychologist for many years.
He has concentrated his practice on children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral disorders and their families.
He has also worked as a teacher, counselor, principal and director of special education.
He has conducted training for the Department of Education and the Department of Corrections.
The Executive Board of the Association of School Psychologists named Dr. Severe the Arizona School Psychologist of the Year.
Dr. Severe is on the Board of Advisors for Parents magazine.
Dr. Severe has appeared on more than 900 television and radio talk shows, including Oprah, the View with Barbara Walters, the Today show, the CBS Early Show, CNN’s Your Health, The Learning Channel’s program Teacher TV, MSNBC’s Daytime, Fox Network’s Fox on Family and National Public Radio. Dr. Severe has provided parenting chats on America Online, Parent Soup.
He has become known for his work with schools, churches and parent organizations, including the National Head Start Association, the Council for Exceptional Children, Tough Love, the Hemophilia Association and Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Severe has provided training for the Intel Corporation, General Motors, SONY, Motorola, Honeywell, Texas Instruments, Pizza Hut, NAPA, Federal Express and Transamerica Occidental.
