Tammy Weitzman, Clinical Social Work, Therapist, lcsw, RYT on Oncology, a social worker.
She has extensive knowledge and expertise on the impact of cancer on the patient / family.
Tammy has worked for well known cancer hospitals through out the world and presented both nationally and internationally on topics concerns coping with treatment, managing anxiety, young adult caner issues death, dying and bereavement.
Compassion and integrity are at the core of her practice.
She honors the unique path of everyone she works with, with the aim of creating a comfortable and safe space.
Providing psychotherapy to adults, couples and young adults struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief and bereavement.
With her background as a clinical social worker. She has experience working with individuals and their caregivers living with chronic, life- threatening and terminal illnesses.
Weitzman’s approach is eclectic with a range of therapeutic modalities. Often integrates principles of mindfulness into a session as she is a certified yoga instructor.
Her goal is to help clients gain insights into their relationships and communication patterns. To empower clients to better understand their life. The therapeutic process can be a vulnerable one, and therefore seek to provide a nurturing and compassionate environment.
