Trevor Marriott, criminologist, retired police Murder Squad Detective: Between the months of April 1888 and July 1889, the Whitechapel area of London played key witness to a series of Horrific murders, initiallay known as The Whitechapel Murders which remain to this day unsolved.
The unknown assailant was later known as “Jack the Ripper”, He stalked the dimly lit, fog blanketed streets of the East End with a single, brutal ambition……MURDER MOST HORRID.
With malice aforethought, and undercover of darkness he lurked within the shadows, awaiting his prey… slaughtering and butchering.”the street women” of Old London Town.
The despicable diary of death had begun where would it end, would he be caught who would turn out to be the most notorious serial criminal of all time ?
Yet, the amazing fact is that today 100 years later, his identity remains unproven. In the years 1888-1891 the name was regarded with terror by the residents of London’s East End, and was known the world over. So shrouded in myth and mystery is this story.
It was the officers of Scotland Yard to whom the task of apprehending the fearsome killer was entrusted.
They may have failed, but they failed honourably, having made every effort and inquiry in their power to free London of the unknown terror. But even today the search still goes on.
Over the years the mystery has deepened to the degree that the truth is almost totally obscured. Innumerable press stories, pamphlets, books, plays, films, and even musicals have dramatised and distorted the facts to such a degree that the fiction is publicly accepted more than the reality.
Trevor Marriott a highly acclaimed British Police detective (retired) who himself has worked on many murder investigations, has studied the “Ripper” murders for many years, he now applies modern day investigative techniques to open the lid on all the facts surrounding these horrific murders.
Since 1970 new suspects have come to light together with new evidence. All of these facts are openly presented for the audience to judge and arrive at their own verdicts as to whether Jack The Ripper has finally been identified !!!!!!!!
With the aid of over 80 original photographs and illustrations of the Whitechapel murder scenes, the victims and the suspects, he delivers an interesting and enthralling presentation.
