Eileen Dong: “In the Asian culture, we operate by the honor and shame system. What happens in the family stays in the family, even if you are a victim. She has become the voice for the voiceless and a hope ambassador to show the families the light at the end of the tunnel. I will keep fighting until everyone is free. I hope to become United Nations Goodwill Ambassador.”
Eileen Dong: “Is the chair of the conference on Abuse & International Book Awards, highlighting heroes and survivors who have overcome adversities, during “Domestic Violence Awareness Month.”
Various government officials have recognized Dong’s merits, such as the U.S. Congress, state governors, city councils, and mayors proclaimed January 19th as Eileen Dong Day.
