In the midst of Playboy glamour and on the brink of a successful folk-artist recording career, when my 6-year-old biracial son drowned. Within weeks, she was drugged, kidnapped, and raped by Bill Cosby. She spoke out against Bill Cosby, after many years of silence. Victoria has media presence as one of the most frequently interviewed Cosby survivors and one of the strongest voices that opened the floodgates for the #MeToo movement.
She speaks on sexual assault awareness, transformative healing through creative action, women’s empowerment and a mentor for survivors.
Victoria was instrumental in the abolishment of the Statute of Limitations on Rape and sexual Assault.
She was interviewed in Playboy Winter, Forbes, Fox, UK Daily Mail and the L.A. Times, Women Who Push Boundaries, SAAN (Sexual Assault Advocacy Network), Inner Sources. Interviewed by Kamau Bell for his four-part ShowTime series on Bill Cosby, still in production, along with various speeches, panel discussions, and major media exposure both nationally and internationally (Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, BBC, NPR, Australia’s TV7 and The Project (Melbourne)…. (One of the top 100 centerfolds of the 20th century and the oldest woman to pose for Playboy clothed, since Jane Seymour! Winter 2020 issue.)
My Dirty Diamonds: The Repurposed Life of a Playboy Icon and Cosby Survivor, is #MeToo-relevant, celebrity-driven with elements of True Crime as Cosby continues to appeal his guilty verdict and comes up for parole. Its target audience includes readers who seek stories of women who have endured great hardship yet who have overcome great adversity, women who have transformed their pain into action and for those sexual assault survivors who seek to find their voices, their courage, healing and inspiration.
The story spans a life’s journey that traverses where she found healing and some wisdom worth sharing—-from Hollywood, New York, the bayous of Cajun Louisiana to the deep woods of the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
